Celebrity Impersonators headed to Orlando!

PRESS RELEASE

To Be Released: ASAP

Today’s Date:    Jun 15, 2017

Re: Celebrity Impersonators Convention and Showcase in Orlando, Florida

So George W. Bush, Lady Gaga and Madonna walk into a bar…. Is this the latest joke circulating on Facebook?  No.  It’s probably a night at The 15^th Annual Sunburst Convention of Celebrity Impersonators and Look A Likes.  This annual convention is taking place again here in Orlando.  It is being held on property at The Florida Hotel and Conference Center.

The public is invited to attend the two showcases on September 1 and 2, 2017 where they will see over 45 professional celebrity impersonators perform and appear on stage each day.  Each day’s showcase will feature different “stars”.

The convention is held each year as a way for professional celebrity impersonators and talent agents from across the country to meet face to face and get together on bookings and appearances.  These professional entertainers are booked at corporate events, fairs, festivals, casinos, cruise ships and night clubs across the US, making it a multi-million (if not billion) dollar industry.  This year, the public is invited to attend the showcases .

Greg M and Jackie Thompson are producers of the convention, having started it back in 2004. “During the day it’s business, and at night it’s party time.” says Greg M Thompson.  The convention has been featured on CNN, The Rachael Ray Show, FUSE TV, The Tonight Show, The Daily Buzz and many more television shows.  It was the featured subject of “Just About Famous”, a documentary  that is currently running on NETFLIX.

Sunburst's Birthday Party! Number 15!

Hi Folks,

Jackie and I were discussing what we would like to do for our 15th Year of Sunburst!  We came up with a great idea!

We are having a BIRTHDAY PARTY! It will be complete with a magician, face painters, balloon animals, dancing, games, contests, clown(s), cake and ice cream....it's going to be a blast.

It's like a kid's party....but with adults!  Imagine the fun!

It's included in the registration fee, but it's only open to those who register!

It will be on the FRIDAY NIGHT of the convention.  Last year, we had a "free night" but everyone came to the Hospitality Suite anyway....so this year, we'll go back to having a party!

Yay!

-Greg

KICKOFF PARTY at Pointe Orlando.

Here's an update for our 2017 Sunburst Convention schedule!

The Convention is planned for August 30- September 3, 2017.  This is Labor Day Weekend, so it gives you that extra MONDAY for free time and/or travel time.

Here's the FUN NIGHT for 2017!  The night before the convention, we will be boarding a bus from the hotel and going Pointe Orlando... It's our Kickoff Party!

We will have a Red Carpet Walk and 12 lucky entertainers will be performing on stage at Lafayette's. 10 others will be performing in Tin Roof Bar!

Some locals may wish to drive on their own and meet us there.  Costumes are welcome and encouraged.  The public welcomed to attend at no charge!  Bring your camera!

Many attendees have already made their reservations. You can do so by calling: 407-859-1500 and asking for reservations.

ALL LOOK ALIKES ARE INVITED TO THE SUNBURST CONVENTION!

ATTENTION CELEBRITY LOOK ALIKES! I'm talking specifically to the artists who are look alikes of celebrities who don't necessarily perform. YOU DON'T HAVE TO PERFORM TO ATTEND THE SUNBURST CONVENTION. We have MANY entertainers who DON'T sing, dance, or perform comedy. MANY celebrity impersonators/look alikes are just that. LOOK ALIKES! And there is a LOT of work for them. The Sunburst Convention is OPEN to those who do not showcase as well. INSTEAD of a showcase per se, we offer to bring you up on stage BOTH DAYS of the showcase and introduce you as a LOOK ALIKE. And you might like to know, MOST Of the corporate work is in MEET/GREET and PHOTO OPS...not performance. Attend The Sunburst Convention of Celebrity Impersonators to enjoy the fun! No singing, dancing or comedy required! (Please share)
